I'm very surprised that they've been pretty much left untouched so far. Every single protest in the past has been crushed with military force and the leaders either imprisoned for long sentences or killed. Defending pure free markets based on the generosity of some people is a complete non-sequitor. It amounts to arguing that because there exists good men there is no need for laws.
