Hope is not lost. According to the count CSPAN has up Bush is ahead 254 to 252 with only 3 states still up for grabs. New Mexico (5 EV's), Iowa (7 EV's), and Ohio (20 EV's). NM and Iowa both look like they'll go for Bush but Ohio won't be known for 11 days so just chill the fuck out. CSPAN link

Does anyone have any reliable data on public opinion in the US or the rest of the world on the child support issue and all it's little sub-issues? I can't find squat.

Ok, so if it is all about the child, then why not also force the mother to provide for it? Why not deny the mother the right to absolve her responsibility for the child? See that's the problem: women don't have to support a child, but a man does. What are you talking about? Force the mother to prov...

Hi sleptolong! I do appreciate anyone that has the maturity to maintain a civil discussion here; some don't seem to be able, quite obviously. I checked the first few links, and they are all quite useless and irrelevant, becasue they are commentaries on the initial interim report. The final report w...

Did you just stop reading the article at that point? Nope, read it all and then some. Even read the thesis posted by Intelligitimate, the author of that even thanks Bruce Sharp. I didn't find either particuarly convincing regarding Chomsky's supposed apologia for Pol Pot and company. But what does ...

This is the way I view Chomsky's historical writing (he gets ultra-high marks for his real expertise: linguistics!): "Nope, none at all. Iraq had no ties to Al Qaeda" writes Chomsky, QUITE innaccurately. (edited to add: didn't Richard Clark publicly testify to same? Shame on you Richard!)...

http://www.mekong.net/cambodia/chomsky.htm A very very long article examining Chomsky's position on Cambodia and the Khmer Rouge. It comes with excerpts. From same site : None of this, I must stress, is meant to imply that Chomsky is or was a Khmer Rouge apologist. He isn't. But there is, I think, ...
