how do you embed a picture vs. just attaching it to your message?

Any help would be appreciated. For some reason, I cannot attach pictures from my home computer to any messages at IIDB, but if I email them to work and do it from that computer, it works. Anybody have ideas on why that would be? Anyway, I was hoping that maybe I would be able to embed the picutre, since attaching it doesn't work. I could wait till I go back to work on Monday, but you know, my kitties adoring fans are demanding to see pictures of her (Ok, really, pescifish asked and I just want to show her off

).

um, never mind, I think I found the answer about the embedding images thing. It has to be on a sever/website already? No can do for me. Anyway, still don't understand why I can't post pictures from home computer. Every time I try, it just tells me that the page cannot be displayed, but if I post the same message without the file attached, it works fine. Sigh. I'll just wait till Monday, since I'm not tech savvy enough to do anything about it.

The pictures don't have to be on the server but they do have to be accessible on the web. You can only link or embed a URL, not a file.
