Well, I guess sometimes we take our own importance in this world a little too seriously. Went to the wake, my foot and leg were really swollen so I had a legimate reason to spend most of the night in the lobby in the corner in a comfy chair. People seemed glad to see me and came over and talked.
Day of funeral -- short service at funeral home, we did not go.
Church -- Full mass -- over an hour. I stayed in car, I'm not sure many people noticed I wasn't there except hubby and a couple of folks who saw me in car and waved. There were about 150 people in the church, who would miss me?
Grave site service -- stayed back far enough so I really couldn't hear. Easy to do with so many people, there must have been at least 75 cars in the funeral procession. No, he wasn't a politician or rich or anything, just had 6 kids, who all have friends, plus he was a really nice guy.
All in all, it seems I stressed myself out over almost nothing, which I usually don't do, I don't think. Freemonkey may have different views on this though.
Thanks to all of you for trying to help. I will try & be around more often, it seems like a really interesting board and, finally, people who can understand my views on religion.
