Assaf is a Muslim name, I doubt he's Jewish and is probably an arab Israeli.
The video mentioned compressed air going into the engine, in a vehicle what would provide the initial power for that compressed air?
This sounds like it could be the patent

Some of the output energy is fed back to run the compressor.
This is quite similar to what you find hanging off an airplane wing except that it's optimized to produce turning rather than hot gas out the back. They figured out how to use heat tubes to improve the efficiency.

IIRC a turbine uses something like 50% as much fuel at idle as at full power.
Paired with a battery that didn't wear out as fast this would be very good for a hybrid vehicle.
Yes, a small version to run a generator to keep a hybrid's batteries charged is an excellent idea for a gas turbine. But you're right about the low speed torque problem. I want to see one of these on a dyno to see the torque curve.
You misunderstand: The problem isn't power transfer, the problem is that it's very inefficient when you don't need much power--say, stuck in traffic or waiting at a light.premjan;5766455 wrote:100MPG and low power efficiency? Do you mean the engine energy is not transferrable efficiently to a power train?
Anyway this kind of prototype is not particularly rare. I remember seeing at least a couple previously on IIDB. If it turns into a real engine it will be quite a thing.

Zionists in the Jewish State of Israel have invented a piston-less engine capable of 100 MPG.
Looks very promising.
QM?

What does this story have to do with Israel at all, other than it just happened to occur in their borders?
Do you preface every story like this? More importantly, if it was a Muslim Palestinian, or an Atheist Hungarian, or a Buddhist Mexican, or a Christian Australian,or a Shintoist Eskimo would it even have drawn your attention?
